Exploring a New Era of Talent Management at ATC 2017 - Will You be There?

Posted on 31 May 2017 by Lee Seymour in Events

The HR industry events calendar is always a busy one, as a community of “people people” I’d venture we’re never happier than when we’re all together talking about and sharing our experiences of ways to improve how we do things.

One of the most popular dates on the calendar for corporate talent managers, HR directors and recruiters in particular is the Australasia Talent Conference which, now in its 11th year, will this year take place at the ICC in Sydney on the 21st and 22nd June.

We’re proud platinum sponsors of this year’s conference and, given the Recruitment Rewired theme, we’d say there has never been a better time for us to be so closely involved. The aim of the event is to prepare attendees for a new era of talent management, to understand its accelerated drivers, adopt emerging tools, adapt to the next generation of talent roles and deliver on a new set of expectations - all aspects of today’s industry that we champion and try to help clients understand on a daily basis.

I’m also excited to once again be jumping up on stage at the event, this time to guide a panel discussion alongside Katy Harris, Head of Talent and Employee Experience at The Iconic, and Hassanah Rudd, Recruitment Operations Manager at nbn™, exploring the topic of risky recruitment and calling on the findings of Xref market research into the threat posed by poor recruitment practices. Take a look at the full session overview below, and make sure you make a note of it in your conference diary.

We’ve got plenty to share with attendees and we’re looking forward to welcoming as many of the event’s 300+ corporate recruitment and talent management decision-maker delegates as possible to booths 22 and 25

Title & Synopsis

Risky Recruitment: Exploring the Threat of Deceptive Candidates and Other Hiring Hazards

Every sector has its own unique challenges, however, at the heart of any organisation, the key priorities remain the same – ensuring productivity and an optimal service for end users by finding, securing and retaining the best people to be successful.

Xref recently conducted research to demonstrate just how serious this issue is. The survey, which included responses from 1,000 Australian jobseekers, highlighted the alarming number of people willing to deceive potential employers.

So, what were the key findings and what do they mean for you? Join our HR and Recruitment expert panel for this broad and interactive discussion.
