Meet our Xref Engage Award winners for Spring 2024!

In October and November this year, we saw many organisations spring into action to improve their workplace culture and employee wellbeing and engagement. Xref Engage has been busy judging which organisations were the best. 

Our proud winners have been achieving outstanding levels of employee engagement and satisfaction or have accomplished significant improvements in the workplace to positively impact organisational performance.

October 2024 

This month we are excited to announce we have three dual Xref Engage Award winners! 

Joint Change Champion and Best Workplace winners

Strathfield Council - located in Sydney’s Inner West. Strathfield Council has an estimated population of 46,000 residents, which is growing 2.5-3% annually. 

What Strathfield Council said about their win:‍

“There’s a great culture amongst our many teams. This was reflected in our recent Employee Engagement Survey results, and we are delighted to be awarded the Xref 2024 Best Workplace and 2024 Change Champion! 

We had a fantastic response rate of 94% and have an average favourability score of 81% across three core areas: engagement, wellbeing and perceptions of Council’s progress.” 

Our other joint award winners included:

• COORDINARE is the South Eastern NSW Primary Health Network (PHN). Their role is to improve the health and wellbeing of our community which is one of the largest rural and regional populations in NSW.

• Community Housing Industry Association NSW - the peak body for NSW community housing. CHIA NSW represents the largest community housing industry in Australia. Across NSW, 94 members provide homes for 54,000 families.

Celebrating Excellence in Employee Engagement!

Change Champions are on a journey of growth and transformation.

• St Aloysius'​ College, Milsons Point - St Aloysius' College is a Catholic independent day school for boys, from Year 3 to Year 12. The College provides education through strong religious, academic, pastoral care and co-curricular programs. 

Best Workplace Award winner - October 2024

• Windgap Foundation - provide a wide range of programs and services focused on providing the best care, support and empowerment for adults with disabilities.

Windgap was a joint Change Champion and Best Workplace Award winner in 2022. It is clear that Windgap repeatedly goes above and beyond to improve engagement and create an inclusive workplace culture.

November 2024

Best Workplace Award winners

• Opportunity International Australia - is ending poverty in developing countries by providing small loans to families in need. Opportunity helps women grow their own businesses and generate sustainable incomes.

• Tertiary Institutions Service Centre (TISC) - streamlines the application process for five Western Australia based tertiary education institutions. 

• Stroke Foundation - is a national charity that partners with the community to prevent stroke, save lives, and enhance recovery.

• Gippsland Centre against Sexual Assault - offer individual counselling and support to children and adults who have experienced, or have been impacted by sexual assault.

• MAB Corporation - founded in 1995 by fifth-generation property identities. MAB shapes the fabric of the built environment.

• Camp Quality - brings positivity, fun and laughter back into the lives of kids facing cancer.

• Cumberland Council - is a local government area located in the western suburbs of Sydney.
