Diversity is a practice within an organisation that encompasses race, gender, ethnic groups, age, religion, sexual orientation, citizenship status, military service and mental and physical conditions, as well as other distinct differences between people. Inclusion is an organisational practice where different groups or individuals with different backgrounds are culturally and socially accepted and equally treated. This encompasses differences such as national origin, age, race and ethnicity, religion/belief, gender, marital status, and socioeconomic status. They could be more inherent, such as educational background, training, sector experience, organisational tenure, and even personality introverts and extroverts.
