With winter behind us, it’s great to see the organisations who won Xref Engage Awards in July, August and September 2024 heating it up in the workplace.

Our proud winners have been using this time to attain outstanding levels of employee engagement and satisfaction or to accomplish significant improvements in the workplace to positively impact organisational performance.

What are the Xref Engage Awards?

There are two types of Xref Engage Awards

  1. Best Workplace Awards
  2. Change Champion Awards

Best Workplace Awards

The Best Workplace Awards recognise organisations that have achieved exceptional levels of employee engagement and satisfaction and demonstrated effective management practices.

Change Champions

The Change Champion Awards recognise organisations that achieve exceptional improvements in work practices and employee engagement over time. Change Champions lead initiatives that create measurable and meaningful change in the workplace.

It’s fantastic to see organisations in positions of caring and trust are ensuring that these values extend not only to their patients but to their employees too.

Want to win an award? Here’s how an organisation is selected

A careful selection process measures how eligible organisations have accomplished significant improvements or attained outstanding levels of employee engagement and satisfaction.

Best Workplace selection criteria

When selecting a Best Workplace, the Xref Engage team seek organisations that have first run an Employee Engagement Survey using Xref Engage. When the results of the survey are finalised, organisations must achieve a staff satisfaction score of over 80% or outperform the industry benchmark by 10% or more.

Change Champion selection criteria

Change Champions must run two or more Employee Engagement Surveys through Xref Engage. The results of each survey are compared, and those with the most positive improvement (as per the categories below) are awarded a Change Champion award.

After running another Employee Engagement Survey and implementing actionable insights, winners are selected based on how much employee engagement has positively increased.

Winners of Change Champion Awards are selected within three categories:

  1. Enterprise category (organisations of 1,000 or more staff – achieving 3% change or higher).
  2. Large category (organisations of 200-999 staff – achieving 5% change or higher).
  3. Small-Medium category (organisations of less than 200 staff – achieving 8% change or higher).

Ultimately, for organisations that win the awards, a key step is to seek employee feedback through an Employee Engagement Survey. Then, award-winning organisations review employee feedback, measure employee engagement and, where possible, implement strategies for change to improve company culture and the work environment.

Our expert team of Workplace Psychologists can show you how to get the best results for your employee engagement survey by encouraging employees to respond to your survey and give their feedback.

An organisational culture of feedback creates an environment where employees feel their voice is heard. This fosters a sense of belonging and can lead to increased employee performance.

Congratulations to all our winners over the years

Congratulations to all of our winners from the past few years, and thank you to every client who has participated.

Xref Engage customers give their employees a voice and keep pushing the envelope to create lively, engaging work environments. Your commitment to your teams is seriously inspiring!

Dr Peter Langford, General Manager, Xref Engage shared his thoughts about the winners.

“We’re always impressed and proud to see our clients improve and achieve high levels of employee engagement and work practices. Xref’s Change Champion Awards and Best Workplace Awards provide recognition and celebration for all the tremendous work that goes on behind the scenes to create great workplaces.”

Conducting an Employee Engagement Survey helps your organisation uncover areas that may benefit from an action plan for improvements. A key step in creating a culture of improvement is to effectively communicate the results of your survey and gradually address any pain points.

With gradual changes over time and a strong employee engagement strategy, your employees understand that you are working towards cultivating and maintaining a high performing team company-wide, with employee satisfaction and wellbeing in mind.
