Australia’s largest event focused on how to attract, manage, train and retain the best people for the Non for Profit (NFP) sector is right around the corner and we are excited to be sponsoring, exhibiting and presenting again this year. Over the course of the two-day conference -  on 13th and 14 November -  500 HR enthusiasts will enter the doors of the Melbourne Convention Centre to explore the NFP sector’s most pressing people issues.

NFP organisations operate in one of the most audited sectors, this alongside the potential vulnerability of the people and communities they support, means they  have the responsibility to conduct thorough reference checks as part of their recruitment process, and to store the information gathered for auditing purposes. We’re really pleased to once again be part of a conference that enables us to talk directly to an audience of NFP HR leaders about this, and to share our vision and advocacy for a safer, smarter and faster referencing process.

This year I will once again be taking to the stage, joined by an impressive panel of NFP recruitment leaders - Kerry Shields from the Starlight Children’s Foundation, Juhi McInerney from Mercy Health, Chris Theocharous and Sharlene Roebuck from Uniting who will share their firsthand experience on the topic of risky recruitment. During the session, we will discuss the issues that arise from a reliance on traditional referencing methods, and how NFP organisations can insert some confidence into their hiring decisions. See full session details below.

Recruitment panel: How to make your recruitment processes work harder and smarter
Time: Monday, 13 November 2017 @ 2:00 pm
Place: Room 104

Xref has formed some fantastic relationships with NFP organisations over the years and we love to see them reap the rewards of a more secure and efficient reference checking process. If you would like to learn more about the benefits we offer NFPs, take a look at our Life Without Barriers case study.

And if you’re coming along to the conference, make sure you look for the Xref banners and that you stop by our table for a chat. This year, we are also part of the Exhibitor Bingo, so don't miss out - come and get your stamp!

Last year was a sell out event - but if you haven’t yet registered,  there are still tickets available. We hope to see you there!
